In January 2021, Montagu Private Equity (“Montagu”), a leading European private equity firm, has entered into exclusive negotiations with Qualium Investissement to acquire IMV Technologies (“IMV”), a global leader in animal reproduction biotechnologies.
Based in Normandy, France, IMV Technologies is the world leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of equipment and supplies used in animal reproduction and animal reproductive and clinical imaging. Its Life Sciences division features products used in human medical research and assisted reproduction. With operations in France, Brazil, China, India, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, and a vast network of distributors across more than 120 countries, IMV Technologies generates more than 85% of its revenue internationally.
Supported by Qualium Investissement, IMV Technologies’ management team has considerably grown the business over the past years through seven acquisitions and continued investments in R&D, which have allowed it to broaden its expertise and strengthen its global leadership in animal artificial insemination.

IMV Technologies is the world leader in animal assisted reproduction biotechnologies. Founded in 1963, IMV Technologies, a French company, has subsidiaries and/or manufacturing facilities in Brazil, China, France, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, and the United States. IMV Technologies operates leading brands in the areas of semen analysis, assisted reproduction, artificial insemination, and veterinary imaging. IMV Technologies’ Life Sciences division, CryoBio System, manufactures and distributes equipment and supplies for human assisted reproduction and biobanking..
